The light art and dance performance titled "Encesa" is presented as a multidisciplinary experience divided into two carefully structured acts. Within this artistic context, the first act is dedicated to the exploration of the intrinsic relationship between architecture and the human figure. Choreographer and dancer Paula Romero assumes a central role, creating and inhabiting luminous sculptures that intimately intertwine with her own body and movement.
This initial act of the performance guides us through a terrestrial realm, where dance serves as a catalyst, allowing us to contemplate the symbiosis between the human figure and the created luminous structures. Here, a poetic dialogue is established between the human being and light, exploring how dance can be a means to manifest architectural concepts and vice versa.
In a surprising twist, the narrative evolves into a second act that transcends the earthly realm, transporting us to an aerial dimension. In this ephemeral space, luminous structures emerge, evoking the viewer's imagination and suggesting the presence of domes and temples suspended in the air. This change in perspective invites us to reflect on transformation and the flow of time, manifesting through architecture generated by light that profoundly relates to a cloister that has endured for 500 years.
"Encesa" not only fuses dance and light art but also merges the past and the present through visual and choreographic exploration. This artistic journey transcends the limitations of time and space, inviting the viewer to contemplate how architecture and light can converge in an aesthetic experience that connects with the very essence of humanity and its relationship with the environment.
