The interactive sculpture shows the word "LOVE" in Morse code. Inviting people to create a symphony with their messages. An installation that celebrates community, impermanence and connection creating a cultural bridge between communities.
The philosophy of the piece is clear and direct. Love moves the world, sharing moves the world. And all this is achieved through communication and understanding. But not simply communication based on marketing and the mainstream. It is necessary that the recipient of the message also puts effort into wanting to understand the other, to include the different person. That is why we have chosen the universal message of love, but using a code that is simple but not direct, which requires a small effort on the part of the participant to understand and assume it.
The artwork invites participants to engage in a unique communication experience. During the day, akin to Tibetan prayer wheels, individuals can leave their messages of love by rotating the "dot" and "slash" elements, representing Morse code. As these elements turn, the piece captures the participant's voice and responds with sound.
At night, participants can still leave messages, and in response, the artwork gradually illuminates, starting from the rotated disk and spreading to nearby disks, creating a ripple effect of light.
At specific intervals, it will play a musical and visual composition that incorporates all the messages gathered from all the places where the sculpture is/was placed. These messages include those from the current day as well as past ones, crafting an infinite spatial-temporal bridge. This feature of the artwork celebrates the enduring and universal nature of love, connecting different cultures and moments in time through a harmonious blend of light, sound, and community interaction.
