"Valenciana": Video Scenography at the Heart of Synthesis and Representation and a meticulous integration of digital media with performing arts that serves as a crucial pillar for the work as a whole.
Preliminary Study
To create a truly resonant video scenography for "Valenciana," our team initiated an exhaustive study of the real settings in which the work unfolds, along with a detailed review of the theatrical text. We concluded that the text and action already occupied considerable space in the perception of the audience. Therefore, it was imperative that the video scenography work in harmony with these elements, rather than overwhelm them.
Labor of Synthesis
We embarked on a rigorous labor of synthesis to distill the essence of what the video scenography should communicate. This task was vital to ensure that the video scenography served as a subtle yet impactful complement, capturing the essential while leaving room for the text and action to speak for themselves.
Graphic and Spatial System
To achieve this balance, we developed a graphic system that allowed us to generate spaces representative of the real places where the play takes place. This system not only lends visual coherence to "Valenciana," but it also establishes emotional and contextual resonance, allowing the audience to immerse themselves more deeply into the narrative and the conflicts portrayed.
The video scenography of "Valenciana" is a manifestation of our commitment to innovation and artistic depth. Through careful synthesis and a well-crafted graphic system, we have created an element that enhances and complements the richness of the theatrical work, providing a more enriched and nuanced experience for the audience.
